Painting - Pintura

This is from last November but forgot to post. A friend of mine was having her first baby girl and asked my artist friend Irka to paint a wall hanging inspired in the works of Scottish illustrator Gorjuss. So here you have the process! Irka draw the design and then we both painted (me, the one with glasses in the first picture).
Esto es de Noviembre pasado pero me olvidé de postearlo. Una amiga mía estaba por tener su primera bebé y le pidió a mi amiga Irka que es artista que le pintara una tela para la pared, inspirada en el trabajo de la artista escocesa Gorjuss. ¡Y acá está todo el proceso! Irka dibujó el diseño y después las dos lo pintamos (yo soy la chica de lentes en la primera foto).

Cold Rainbow Pencil Case - Cartuchera Arco Iris Frío

An easy beginner project for those who want to try Tunisian Crochet (also called Afghan Stitch).
You will need a zipper, seven colors of yarn (leftover from other projects is ok), a tunisian hook (4.5 mm), needle and thread to sew, and some cute fabric for lining.
Un proyecto fácil para principiantes que quieran probar el crochet tunecino (también llamado punto afgano). Se necesitan un cierre relámpago, siete colores de lana (sirven los restos de otros proyectos), un ganchillo tunecino de 4,5 mm, aguja e hilo para coser, y una linda tela para forrar.

1. Begin with a chain slightly longer than the zipper (in my case, 35 ch). Comenzar con una cadeneta un poquito más larga que el cierre (en mi caso, 35 cad).
2. Work 4 rounds with the same color in basic or simple tunisian stitch. Trabajar 4 vueltas con el mismo color en punto tunecino básico.
3. Change color and work 4 rounds. Cambiar de color y trabajar 4 vueltas.
4. Keep on changing color every 4 rounds. The design will look like weaved with the characteristic vertical bars of Tunisian crochet. Seguir cambiando de color cada 4 vueltas. El diseño se parecerá al tejido en telar con las barras verticales características del punto tunecino.
5. When you have the desired length for your pencil case, bind off. I repeated the design 3 times (21 fringes). Cuando se tenga el largo deseado para la cartuchera, cerrar la labor. Yo hice 3 repeticiones completas (21 franjas).
6. Sew the closed zipper to the finished piece. It is better to block it before sewing. Coser el cierre cerrado a la pieza terminada. Es mejor plancharla antes de coserla.
7. Sew the sides. Coser los lados.
   
8. Make a bag with the measures of the pencil case with the lining fabric. Hacer una bolsa con las medidas de la cartuchera terminada con la tela de forro.
9. Open the zipper and sew the lining on the inside with invisible stitches. Abrir el cierre y coser el forro por dentro con puntadas invisibles.

Also crocheted a cotton lace pullover but needs more blocking and a better picture before posting, the photo wasn´t very flattering. También hice al crochet un pullover de encaje en algodón pero necesita más planchado y una mejor imagen antes de postearlo, la foto que tengo no es muy halagadora.
